This is one of my favourite popular culture references of all time. It signifies wanting to do everything, and attempting to better yourself, only to fall flat and spend all your time in your pyjamas, watching television. Good intentions count for very little, but they're always the first step towards change.
So, really, this post is all about trees that won't bear fruit.
Here is my list of things I want to accomplish:
Around the Home:
- helping my father-in-law out in the garden more
- giving the house a huge clean, giving everything a proper place so it is easier to keep clean
For my benefit:
- aim for at least five books a week (due to an ever-changing schedule, I don't think I can keep up with the book a day, so this is the next best thing)
- continue to eat healthily (or even healthier! Still eating chocolate thrice a week)
- bulk up my exercise routine, as well as start running again (a mile a day is a good place to start)
- publish a blog post every day
- continue to study game design, programming, and calculus
- draw for at least forty-five minutes every day
- play piano for at least an hour every day, conquer a new scale every day
- sew every second day (design every first)
- study for Learner's, so I can apply to be Pete's chauffeur
- solve remaining health mysteries (month-long flu/tummy bug)
For the blog:
- either read a book or complete an e-course on blogging, web design, or photography every week
- do a book review or summary for every book I read (as well as helpful notes for non-fiction works)
- post at least one recipe a week
- review first impressions of at least three games a week
(Summer = heat = thirsty = drink = lemonade. It's not entirely unrelated to the post...)
