This is a simple recipe for my fellow runners, boxers, cyclers, weight lifters, and gymmers. Needless to say, the vegan diet has enough protein if you eat a varied diet, but it's good to be conscious of extra protein needs when trying to build (and just maintain) muscle. We keep several different types of protein powder stocked in the pantry, as we both indulge in smoothies daily (sometimes twice or even thrice). My Creamy Peach Protein Smoothie is perfect post-workout, or as a breakfast to start a busy day.

500ml vanilla almond milk (unsweetened preferably)
3 cubes medium-firm tofu OR
1/2 cup silken tofu
2-3 scoops vanilla protein powder
2 peaches, cut
1 banana, sliced
1/2 tbsp liquid sweetener (i.e. fake honey)
Place all the ingredients in the blender, and mix until well combined (around thirty - fifty seconds for most devices).
