Tonight we went bowling, quite unexpectantly. The only "outside" thing we do either involves the movies, Westfields for birthday or Christmas related spending, or a gardens or bush of some sort.
I was expecting to have a terrible time, but realistically, when you're only in a small group like this, it is really enjoyable. Since I hadn't been bowling in sixteen years, I was really proud to not come last in the first round (but I came last in the second...)
The whole night was outwardly spent bowling, sipping Cider, eating wedges, and taking advantage of the old arcade. I learned how to play pool, but didn't get to show off my Time Crisis skills. Inwardly, I couldn't help but be appreciative of how wonderful it is to have a group of friends like this (even if they are, technically, Pete's associates, not mine). I think I wasted far too many nights on my own if I am completely over-come by a night out like this.
As Pete would say, "Your life was sad and pathetic."
No argument here, but I am certainly a very fortunate girl now.
