If there isn't a library in a particular suburb, chances are I haven't gone out of my way to get there. It just simply isn't worth it most of the time, with one exception. Pete, as an orchestral musician, travels all over Sydney to rehearse, perform, and record. And quite often, I will be his travel buddy.
It is his work that caused us to meet up in the first place. I was living at Bexley North, he was working at Rockdale. When we decided to meet, after a week or two of emailing, it was a hop, skip, and a bus for me to get to one of the most beautiful parks at Rockdale (that we'd picked off an online map, as it was close enough to his work that day. Here are photos of that day, if you would like to see!)
Incredible also is the food we end up eating on these journeys. While we don't get to eat out that much due to financial restrictions, we nontheless usually get to indulge our foodie side whenever going to a new place.
Recently he was invited to come and work at Rockdale again, and of his many trips, I joined him for a few. While he toiled away, I went to revisit our meeting place, and was so joyful and sentimental to find it as amazingly beautiful as when we'd left it. An improvement to Rockdale since last visit was the addition of Ozburrito: cheap, quick, and beyond delicious, we regret that our meals there were limited.
Most recently we went to Drummoyne, and one night Pete came home from work with a GF brownie for me. When I went to watch him play, we stopped off at Village Bakery beforehand in order to sample every single one of their GF delights.

I really am spoiled with this man. He broadens my horizons, literally and figuratively, and I wouldn't change my life in the slightest*.
*although, if we won the lottery, I wouldn't necessarily complain... ; )
