On Thursdays I start school at 11:30, and I often still try to make it in by 8:30. Rather than head straight to the library (which I have to wait outside for it to open anyway), I started wandering, and chanced upon the newly opened Central Park.
This place is absolutely beautiful, and it is strange to say how humbled and peaceful I felt gazing and taking photos of all the curious wonders. It is just so green, and yet so modern. It is literally crying out sustainability in the current day.
Underneath, or round the corner, from the park is a small shopping district, where they have a Woolworths (finally, only seven minutes walk from school, including traffic lights), and Crave Yogurt. I bought some Tahitian Vanilla (vegan) to tide myself over while I browsed the restaurants, shops, and huge mall. There is a Thai place I want to check out on the second or third floor when I have the time.
This place definitely competes with the Powerhouse Museum, in terms of places I want to spend my time.
It probably also helped that there were few people there early in the morning... So tranquil.
If you're a student around this area, chances are you have a lot of coupons for the variety of stores here, so check it out!
