I've been checking out a lot of Japanese cookbooks because I have been craving something smothered in miso or shichimi. I don't think Pete is into either of these flavours, so I took advantage of the weekend apart to make okonomiyaki (a savoury pancake).
The recipes needs a lot of tweaking, so I won't share it formally, but this was made of sliced cabbage, onion, capsicum, and mushrooms, as well as rice flour (enough to coat), one egg, and some soymilk, as well as a few herbs and sesame seeds for the top.
I'll make it again soon. Life is too short to go too long without eating okonomiyaki!
