We headed down past Campbelltown to Mt Annan for the day. They have one of the most beautiful botanic gardens around, and it is all dedicated to native Australian plants. From the moment you drive in, the scenery is absolutely captivating.

Before the exploration, we settled down for lunch (it was really breakfast for us). We chose roast vegetable sandwiches (they have gluten-free foccacia), an iced coffee, and orange and almond flourless cake for dessert.

We wandered around for a bit over two hours, and decided to head down some old favourites as well as exploring some new areas. First up was the love-knot, followed by walking to the top of Mt Annan, then the Paperbark Trail.

After that, we detoured off the Central Valley Walk and made our own paths, and finished with the Lakeside Walk before heading back to the Bowden Centre.

All in all, we walked 9km, and took some great shots on our phones, the choice ones above. There's a grass insect in Photo 9, see if you can spot it! Even though we get these near home, they are hard to find, and fascinating regardless.
